Jerry Harrison

1949: Jerry Harrison (keyboardist, guitarist for Talking Heads) is born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.


Vince Welnick

1951: Vince Welnick (keyboardist for The Tubes, Grateful Dead) is born in Phoenix, Arizona.

1958: The first Flying V guitar, by Gibson, was shipped from a factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan.


Ranking Roger

1961: Ranking Roger (real name Roger Charlery), vocalist of the Beat, General Public and the Fine Young Cannibals, was born in Birmingham, England.

1964: The Rolling Stones release their first single in UK, a cover of the Buddy Holly song "Not Fade Away." It was the A-side of the band's first US single.(March 1964)

1966: The Beatles release "Nowhere Man" in America with the B-side "What Goes On."

- The Lovin' Spoonful released the single "Daydream".
