1951- Douglas Campbell "Dougie" Thomson is a Scottish musician, born inGlasgowand raised in theRutherglenarea of the city. (bassist for Supertramp) is born in Glasgow, Scotland.
1960 - Nena (real name Gabriele Susanne Kerner), lead singer of the group which bears her name ("99 Luftballons"from 1982), was born in Hagen, Germany.
1962 - Mick Jagger and Keith Richards perform their first paid gig when they appear as Little Boy Blue & the Blue Boys at a club in Ealing, England.

1964 - Steve "Zetro" Souza (of Exodus) is born in the US.
1965 - Bill Wyman was knocked unconscious by an electrical shock from a microphone stand. It was the first date of theRolling Stonesanniversary tour.
1973 - Alice Cooper owned the top U.K. album with Billion Dollar Babies.
- Pink Floydreleased the albumDark Side of the Moon in the U.K. They had released the album in the United States on March 17.
1975 - Chicago released the album Chicago VIII.

1986 - The Rolling Stonesrelease their albumDirty Work. The first single is a cover of the soul classic "Harlem Shuffle."
1990 - Canadian Allanah Myles had the top song with "Black Velvet".
1998 -Type O Negativereleased its first home video. It was for the song "After Dark."

2020 - William Frederick "Bill" Rieflin, was an American musician. Rieflin came to prominence in the 1990s for his work mainly as a drummer with many notable groups including Ministry, theRevolting Cocks, Lard, KMFDM, Pigface, Swans, Chris Connelly and Nine Inch Nails. He worked regularly with R.E.M. following the retirement of Bill Berryin 1997. He was a member of King Crimsonf rom 2013 until his death in 2020.
