1941: Bruce Welch, guitar, The Shadows, (1960 UK No.1 single 'Apache' plus 28 other UK top 40 singles), Member of Marvin Welch and Farrar and producer.

1944: Keith Emerson, keyboards, The Nice, (1968 UK No.21 single 'America'). Emerson Lake and Palmer, 1977 UK No.2 single 'Fanfare For The Common Man').

1947: Dave Pegg, bassist and multi-instrumentalist of Fairport Convention and Jethro Tull and also a record producer, was born in Acocks Green, Birmingham, England.


Bobby Dall

1963: Bobby Dall (Robert Harry Kuykendall), bassist of Poison, was born in Miami, Florida.

1963: The Konrads, featuring David Bowie appeared at Shirley Parish Hall, Shirley, Croydon, England.

1967: The Beatles finished recording their next single "Hello Goodbye" at Abbey Road Studios in London.

1968: Cream was in concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City during their farewell tour. They were presented with a platinum disc honoring a million sales of their album Wheels of Fire. 1968: The Doors performed two shows at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Columbus, Ohio.

1967: “Cream” released the album “Disraeli Gears”.

Willy and the Poor boys

1969: Creedence Clearwater Revival released Willy and the Poor boys, their thrird alboum that year .

1969: Reginald Arvizu, bass, Korn, (1998 UK No.23 single 'Got The Life', 1998 US No.1 album, 'Follow The Leader').

1969: The Archies had the top U.K. song with "Sugar, Sugar".

1971: Bob Dylan released Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits, Volume 2

1973: Ringo Starr released the album Ringo, with all four members of the Beatles performing on the record.

1974: Bad Company hits #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, with their single Can’t Get Enough. This hit song is featured on their 1974 self-titled debut album.

1979: The Who movie Quadrophenia opened in theaters.

1979: AC/DC played the second of three sold out nights at the Hammersmith Odeon, London, England, with Def Leppard supporting.

Stage Struck

1980: The third live album from singer/guitarist Rory Gallagher was released: Stage Struck.

1980: Fist released their debut album “Turn The Hell On”

1982:The fifth studio album, Long After Dark, from Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers is released. This terrific album includes the hit singles: You Got Lucky and Change Of Heart.

1987: Dokken released the GREAT album "Back For The Attack"

1988: Def Leppard released their sixth single from the monumental albumHysteria--"Armageddon It".

1990: IcedEarth released their debut album “Iced Earth”


1991: U2 scored their second UK No.1 single with 'The Fly', taken from their album 'Achtung Baby'. The song was also a showcase for a persona Bono had invented called "The Fly".

1998: The Rolling Stones released their live album: No Security. This album was recorded during the 1997-1998Bridges To Babylon Tour.


There Is Nothing Left to Lose

1999: There is nothing left to lose is the third studio album by American rock band Foo Fighters, released through Roswell and RCA Records. It marked the first appearance of drummer Taylor Hawkins, and is often seen as a departure from the band's previous work, showcasing a softer, more experimental sound. Dave Grohl has stated that the album was "totally based on melody" and that it might be "[his] favorite album that [they've] ever done.


2003: R.E.M. led the way on the U.K. Album chart with their greatest hits package In Time.

2004: Guitarist Eric Clapton collected his CBE from Buckingham Palace for his services to music.

2005: Swedish Heavy Rockers Hardcore Superstarreleased their fifth studio album: Hardcore Superstar, via Gain/Sony.

2007: Led Zeppelin's eagerly-awaited reunion concert in London was postponed for two weeks after guitarist Jimmy Page broke a finger. The tribute concert in honour of late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun scheduled for 26 November would now take place on 10 December. More than a million fans applied for the 20,000 tickets available, which cost £125 each. Profits from the show would go towards scholarships in Ertegun's name in the UK, USA and the country of his birth Turkey.

2007: Ozzy Osbourne claimed his reputation had been tarnished after a party supposedly involving him was organised by US police officers to round up missing criminal suspects. Over 500 people in North Dakota with outstanding arrest warrants were sent invitations and more than 30 suspects turned up. Osbourne said it was "insulting" that his name had been used but police argued it was a "creative" way to fight crime. Ozzy had been selected because he was due to play a gig in a nearby arena, which was used to explain why he would supposedly have attending the party.
