Jimmy Page

1944: Jimmy Page was born. He is famously known as an influential guitarist, songwriter and founding member of Led Zeppelin. Jimmy Page was also a member of The Yardbirds, The Firm and collaborated with David Coverdale and Robert Plant on respective studio albums. Led Zeppelin was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1995 and presented by Aerosmith. The Yardbirds were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1992.


Philip Francis Lewis

1957: Philip Francis Lewis was born. He is an English vocalist for the American hard rock band L.A. Guns. He was born on 9 January 1957 in London, England.

1963: Charlie Watts joins The Rolling Stones, replacing Tony Chapman as their drummer.

1967: The Monkees' second album, "More Of The Monkees" was released on Colgems Records. It would displace the band's debut album at the top of the Billboard 200 chart and remained at #1 for 18 weeks, the longest of any Monkees album. The LP also topped the UK chart and has been certified quintuple Platinum by the RIAA with sales of more than five million copies. The main single released from the album was "I'm A Believer (#1) backed with "I'm Not Your Steppin' Stone" (#20).

1976: Queen were at number one on the singles chart with “Bohemian Rhapsody.”The single enjoyed a nine week run on the charts, selling more than a million copies by the end of the month.

1982: AC/DC latched on to #1 on the Album chart with For Those About to Rock We Salute You.


1984(MCMLXXXIV )

1984: Van Halen released their sixth studio album MCMLXXXIV or what is more commonly written as: 1984. This Van Halen album featured many chart hits as: Jump, Panama, Hot For Teacher and I’ll Wait. Eddie Van Halen also introduced the keyboards as an integral part of this 1984 album. 1984 stands as Van Halen’s best-selling album to date, with over 10 millionunits sold.


Into the Labyrinth

2009: Into the Labyrinth, the eighteenth studio album by British heavy metal band Saxon, was released on 9 January 2009. It was made between tours in 2008 and written by the band in England and at Biff Byford's house in France. The first single, "Live to Rock", was released on 17 October 2008.

2022: Guitarist Barry Benedetta, who contributed to the first Cinderella album, died at age 62 after contracting COVID-19.
